How to use your Candykitten Inscription Leveling Kit

Leveling Inscription with a Candykitten Kit

Before you pay for your kit, while you are at the guild vault page, confirm that your kit has the following contents.  (The Plain Wooden Staffs are just to indicate that there's not supposed to be anything there -- While you may take one if you wish, they only cost 19c and it's much easier for me to refill the kit when the Staffs haven't been moved.)

Your Kit contains

    1 Virtuoso Inking Set

 600 Light Parchment (six stacks)

  80 Alabaster Pigments (4 stacks)

  27 Midnight Ink (1 stack and a stack with 7)

  45 Lion's Ink (2 stacks and a stack with 5)
    5 Dawnstar Ink

  50 Jadefire Ink (2 stacks and a stack with 10)
    5 Royal Ink

  50 Celestial Ink (3 stacks)
    5 Fiery Ink

  50 Shimmering Ink (2 stacks and a stack with 10)

  80 Ethereal Ink (4 stacks)

 100 Ink of Sea (5 stacks) + Extra 100

   1 Snowfall Ink 

  90 Ashen Pigment (4 stacks and a stack with 10)

  80 Ink of Dreams ( 4 stacks) + Extra 40 (can trade for any common ink at vendor)

You may want to go there and read it.  This leveling guide is for use if you purchased a Candykitten Inscription Leveling Kit.

I recommend that you print out these instructions and check off each line as you complete it instead of tabbing out as you level.

Leveling a profession is easier if you have the Working Overtime guild perk -- there are two levels of this perk -- Guild Level 14 and Guild Level 22 -- Obviously 22 is better.  The <Schism> guild has this perk, and if you want to level the toon that is purchasing the kit, feel free to stay in the guild until you are leveled.  But we will make it work even if you don't have this perk.

Your Kit contains 80 Alabaster Pigments -- you should only need 62 of them to level 77.

First Train as an Apprentice Scribe.  Next turn on the craft filter "has skill up." Then make:

• 1 - 19 18 x [Ivory Ink] - 18 Alabaster Pigment
• 19 - 35 16 x [Scroll of Stamina] - 16 Ivory Ink
• 35 - 55 22 x [Moonglow Ink] - 44 Alabaster Pigment

At this point, train as a Journeyman Scribe.

• 55 - 77 22 x [Enchanting Vellum] - 22 Moonglow Ink

If you are not at 77, make some more Moonglow Ink and some more Vellum.  You have extra Alabaster Pigments.  Make sure you are at 77 before moving forward.

STOP!  Be sure you read the next paragraph before you continue.

Your aim should always be make glyphs while they are orange. Sometimes Glyphs turn yellow after one craft, sometimes 2 or 3 craft, so be careful and don't queue up 10 of the same Glyphs. Also, don't click "Create All." Each orange Glyph will give you 3 skill-up points.  If you don't have any glyphs that are orange -- check to make sure that you can't train some new glyphs.  Unless the instructions say to make a Yellow Glyph, don't do it.  Talk to Yukihei [US-Garrosh(H)] to make sure that you know what to do.

Your Kit contains 27 [Midnight Ink].

STOP!  Did you read the previous paragraph?  Ok now continue.

• 77 - 105  Make any Glyph that is orange to you.  7 x [Glyph of....] - 21 Midnight Ink

Your Kit contains 45 x [Lion's Ink]

• 105 - 126  7 x [Glyph of ...] - 21 Lion's Ink

At this point, train as an Expert Scribe.

• 126 - 145  7 x [Glyph of ...] - 21 Lion's Ink

Your Kit contains 5 x Dawnstar Ink

• 145 - 150  1 
• Book of Survival -- 5 Dawnstar Ink

Your Kit contains 50 x Jadefire Ink
Your Kit contains 5 x Royal Ink

• 150 - 195  15 x [Glyph of ...] - 45 Jadefire Ink
• 195 - 200  1 [Tome of Kings] -- 5 Royal Ink.

At this point, train as an Artisan Scribe.

Your kit contains 50 Celestial Ink

• 200 - 245 15 x [Glyph of ...] - 45 Celestial Ink

Your Kit contains 5 Fiery Ink

• 245 - 250 1 x [Book of Stars] - 5 Fiery Ink

Your kit contains 50 Shimmering Ink

• 250 - 292 14 x [Glyph of ...] - 42 Shimmering Ink

At this point, train as an Master Scribe.

• 292 - 300 8 x Scroll of Stamina VI (x2) - 8 Shimmering Ink

Your kit contains 70 x [Ethereal Ink]

• 300 - 357 19 x [Glyph of ...] - 57 Ethereal Ink

At this point, train as an Grand Master Scribe.

Your kit contains 100 x [Ink of Sea]

• 357 - 387 10 x [Glyph of...] - 30 Ink of the Sea Be sure to stop at 387!

Your kit contains 1 [Snowfall Ink] 

• 387 - 388 1 x [Northrend Inscription Research] - 3 Ink of the Sea, 1 Snowfall Ink

You will have learned one (semi) random glyph -- hopefully you can make it up past 400.  Some people have been unlucky, and the glyph turns yellow before they hit 400.  If that happens to you, you may now craft a yellow glyph to get to 400.  You have many extra Ink of the Sea for just this possibility.

• 388 - 400 4 x [Any Discovered Major Glyph] - 12 Ink of the Sea or 12 Ethereal Ink
• 400 - 405 5 x [Scroll of Stamina VIII] - 5 Ink of the Sea
• 405 - 410 5 x [Scroll of Spirit VIII] - 5 Ink of the Sea
• 410 - 415 5 x [Scroll of Intellect VIII] - 5 Ink of the Sea
• 415 - 420 5 x [Scroll of Stength VIII] - 5 Ink of the Sea
• 420 - 425 5 x [Scroll of Agility VIII] - 5 Ink of the Sea

At this point, train as an Illustrious Grand Master Scribe.

Your kit contains 90 Ashen Pigment.

• 425 - 450 45 x [Blackfallow Ink] - 90 Ashen Pigment

If you don't quite make 450, don't worry, just make enough Mysterious Fortune Cards to make it up, you'll have enough Blackfallow Ink to cover it.

• 450 - 460 10 x [Mysterious Fortune Card] - 10 Blackfallow Ink
• 460 - 475 5 x [Glyph of ...] - 15 Ink of the Sea
• 475 - 485 15 x [Dust of Disappearance] - 15 Blackfallow Ink
• 485 - 500 5 x [Glyph of ...] - 15 Ink of the Sea

At this point, train as a Zen Master Scribe.

Your kit contains 80 Ink of Dreams

• 500 - 542 14 x Tome of the Clear Mind -- 14 Ink of Dreams
• 542 - 543 1 x [Scroll of Wisdom] - 3 Ink of Dreams

When you make a [Scroll of Wisdom], you will discover a new Glyph recipe.

• 543 - 597 18 x [Any Glyph you discovered by making Scroll of Wisdow] - 54 Ink of Dreams
• 597 - 600 Make two Secret Inscription shoulder enchants -- 6 Ink of Dreams
